Spelling Errors in Standard Texts

Good day. Kindly restore the Tahir mq version (2019) of the image file, since {{FoP-Saudi Arabia}} for exterior architecture is now accepted here. Due to multiple file versions for this and due to multiple reviews of other Saudi FoP files at COM:UNDEL, I felt best to request this directly here, involving selective undeletion (excluding the Carakeso upload from 2024). Request close and implementation of VPP proposal

The archive bot just archived Commons:Village_pump/Proposals#New_criteria_for_speedy_deletion:_Newly_uploaded_and_unused_raster_images_identical_to_existing_vector_images, which I undid. It looks like there's a consensus for Omphalographer's version of the change to F8. Can an uninvolved admin please take a look, close this, and implement the change?

 Done, @Wikisympathisant whenever requesting renaming of your own upload, use Criterion 1 and add the reason, if any, in relevant parameter. As a courtesy, uploader's request are generally honored, unless there is a compelling reason not to. Shaan Sengupta^Talk 08:25, 1 September 2026 (UTC)

Uploading an entire book

I'm asking about this here basically because I don't know where else to ask. If this is the wrong place, then please point me in the right direction. It looks like someone uploaded scans/photos of each page of the 1595 book Atlas sive cosmographicae to Commons. The book has long entered into the public domain so copyright isn't an issue; however, it seems something like this would be better off at WikiBooks, at least it does to me. I could understand uploading illustrations or other images to Commons, but every page just seems a bit odd. Yes, Commons holds free media files for Wikimedia projects. In the case of book scans, they're uploaded to Commons in order to make correct and verifiable transcriptions of the books on Wikisources.--Prosfilaes (talk) 08:32, 2 September 2026 (UTC)
