Wiki Loves Bangla 2026

Winners!

A total of 364 participants submitted a total of 2,888 photographs and 16 videos to the Wiki Loves Bangla 2026 photo contest. After two rounds of review and evaluation, the final winners were selected from these submissions.

A significant number of the photographs submitted to this year's competition have been recognised through Wikimedia Commons' independent selection process. Among them, 7 Featured pictures and 79 Quality images, are a notable example of the quality of the photographs submitted to the competition.

Congratulations to all the winners. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the photographers and videographers who participated in the competition. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our Reviewer, Jury and volunteers for their important role in evaluating and successfully implementing this competition.

2nd Place

Beautiful cultural storytelling with vibrant colour contrast. The framing between the white Kash grass and the green hillside creates a striking natural border, and the low angle gives the procession a grand, celebratory presence. However, harsh midday light casts deep facial shadows, obscuring expressions and reducing important visual detail.

5th Place

Well composed with an excellent high-angle perspective. Low-key glowing lighting beautifully illuminates the subjects—great storytelling and symmetry. The lit candles in the top-right corner are slightly distracting and break the focus from the main circular arrangement.
