Mourne Heritage Trust is continuing to strengthen and encourage diversity within Mourne volunteering. On Saturday the Newtownards Bangladeshi Women and children group travelled to the Mourne AONB to help control litter levels on Murlough NNR- a new experience for many within the group.
A combination of hard work and high temperatures made the water look even more inviting and some even paddled their feet. Once everyone was satisfied that the beach was remarkably cleaner the women and children ate a picnic lunch within the reserve where the Mourne backdrop provided plenty of conversation. Thanks to National Trust South Down for facilitating and assisting with the challenge.
